Caramelized pineapple that is juicy, prosciutto that is salty, bacon, jalapeños that have been pickled, and masses of gooey cheese that has melted. The handcrafted artisan pizza that you have prepared will leave your friends and family in awe.

The Hawaiian pizza is a contentious topic. You either adore it or you do not, and I am not here to persuade those who are opposed to pineapple on pizza that it is appropriate to include pineapple on pizza. The reason I’m here is to celebrate all that is wonderful about Hawaiian pizza and to turn it up even further.

Hawaiian Pizza Recipe – Delicious Recipe Ever

I have always like the contrast that is created when salty ham and melted cheese are combined with sweet, spicy, and juicy pineapple. In my opinion, it is very mouthwatering, particularly when you add something hot on the top of it.

I wanted to add fuel to that fire by preparing a Hawaiian pizza that is even more excellent than the one I had already made. This is where I ended up: chunks of fresh pineapple that have been caramelized, shards of prosciutto that are salty, bacon that is crunchy, and a coating of mozzarella that is extremely cheesy.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices thick-cut bacon
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • ¼ tsp chile flakes
  • 3 ½-inch thick slices fresh pineapple, cored and cut into half-moons
  • ½ recipe artisan pizza dough (one 15 oz dough ball)
  • ⅓ cup pizza sauce
  • 4 oz shredded low-moisture mozzarella (whole milk, if possible)
  • 2 oz prosciutto, torn into bite sized pieces
  • ¼ cup pickled jalapenos

How to make Hawaiian Pizza

  • In the middle of your oven, position a pizza stone or steel, and then warm it to 500 degrees Fahrenheit. Take a full half an hour to allow the stone to heat up. A pizza peel should be generously floured and then placed aside.
  • Spread the bacon slices out in a big skillet made of cast iron. Adjust the heat to medium and continue cooking the bacon, turning it once, for approximately fifteen minutes, or until the fat has rendered and the bacon is crispy and browned. Transfer the mixture to a dish lined with paper towels to cool.
  • Pour out all of the bacon fat, save for one tablespoon. Stir in the butter, honey, and chili flakes until they are completely melted. Raise the temperature to medium-high and introduce pieces of pineapple. Cook for four to five minutes, shaking and stirring the pan, until the food is golden brown.
  • After flipping the pineapple, continue cooking it for another five minutes until it is soft and has caramelized. To allow it to somewhat cool, transfer it to a cutting board. Pineapple and bacon should be roughly chopped and then left aside.
  • Flatten the middle of the dough ball into a large disk on a surface that has been dusted with flour, leaving a thick lip that is one inch in thickness. Using gravity, form the dough into a circle that is 12 inches in diameter by picking up the disk and supporting it by the thick edge. Arrange on a pizza peel that has been prepped, and then form it into a circle.
  • The peel should be jiggled to ensure that the dough is not sticking, and additional flour should be added if it is. The pizza crust should be spread with sauce, leaving a boundary of ½ inch. mozzarella should be sprinkled on the surface. Arrange pineapple that has been caramelized, bacon, and prosciutto that has been torn on top.
  • After sliding the pizza onto the steel, bake it for five minutes. The cheese should be melted and the crust should be browned in parts, so turn on the broiler and go under the grill for two to four minutes. Allow pizza to somewhat cool down. Top with jalapenos that have been pickled, slice, and serve.

Can You Reheat Hawaiian Pizza?

Yes, it is possible to reheat Hawaiian pizza without any problems! Avoid using the microwave at all costs, no matter what you do. Nobody wants pizza that has been left over and is dripping with moisture. Reheating pizza in the oven at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for five to eight minutes, until the cheese is melted and the sauce is heated all the way through, is my preferred method.

In order to achieve the crispiest crust possible, set the slices on top of a pizza stone or sheet pan that has been preheated in the oven. Aside from that, all you need to do is place the leftover Hawaiian pizza pieces on a piece of foil and then throw it in the oven while it is hot.

If you want to reheat the pizza even more quickly, you may use a toaster oven because it eliminates the need to heat up your entire oven. Did you know that you can use an air fryer to reheat any pizza that you have left over?

Not only is it quick, but it also results in a crust that is extremely crispy! Put a few slices in the basket of your air fryer, set the temperature to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, and cook them for around five minutes, being sure that none of the slices overlap.

Tips for Success

  • Use pineapple that is fresh. Despite the absence of any artificial flavors, it imparts a hint of freshness. How much of a difference it makes!
  • Before incorporating the pineapples into the pizza, make sure to give them a good patting. While it is baking, this will prevent an excessive amount of moisture from developing. This is a step that I never skip.
  • Before adding the pizza sauce, you should brush the pizza with olive oil to prevent it from becoming soggy. In order to prevent the sauce from getting into the crust, the olive oil will serve as a barrier.
  • Preventing the formation of hot air bubbles underneath the dough while it is baking can be accomplished by pricking the dough with a fork before adding the toppings. In order to enhance the flavor, brush the edges with garlic butter that has been melted.
